Maya started Planner Bee VA Services with the aim of empowering purpose-led and ethical businesses to thrive by creating more time, reducing stress, and providing expert support that enables sustainable growth. We aspire to be the trusted virtual partner for businesses that want to make a positive impact on people and the planet, helping them scale successfully without compromising their values.

Revenue Goals Exceeded and Team Growth
Within our first two years of trading, the business exceeded its original revenue targets after receiving support from Business Gateway, and Planner Bee VA Services grew into a small team of 3 VAs.
Scottish EDGE Winner
Our founder, Maya Vertigans won a £10,000 Young EDGE Award, recognising the business’s growth potential and supporting our mission to help ethical and sustainable businesses thrive.
Launch of Carbon Footprinting Services
After a seven-month development and pilot phase, we launched our Complete Carbon Footprinting Service to help businesses measure and reduce environmental impact.
Ideas Fest Speaker
Founder Maya Vertigans was selected to speak on a panel about young entrepreneurship at Ideas Fest, sharing insights on sustainable business growth, entrepreneurship, and building purpose-led companies.
Athena Awards Rising Star
Our founder, Maya was awarded the Rising Star Award at the BWC Aberdeen Athena Awards, celebrating her impact as one of Aberdeen’s emerging business leaders.
Recruitment Support Launched
After months of quietly helping clients with hiring and team growth, we officially expanded into recruitment support, helping clients hire in-house employees for the roles we do ourselves.

Our founder Maya was chosen for The Hunter Foundation’s Pre-Scaler Programme, gaining access to expert mentoring, leadership development, and a network of high-growth Scottish entrepreneurs.
